Cancellation Policy

Overview

Each property listed on Adriason Homestays has its own cancellation policy, set by the property host. The applicable policy is clearly displayed on the property listing page before you confirm your booking. Please review the cancellation terms carefully before booking.

Cancellation policies fall into three standard categories. Some hosts may offer custom policies, which will be described in detail on the listing.

Flexible

Best for peace of mind

  • Free cancellation up to 48 hours before check-in.
  • Full refund of all amounts paid if cancelled within this window.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before check-in are charged at 100% of the booking amount.
  • No-shows are charged in full.

Moderate

Balance of flexibility and commitment

  • Free cancellation up to 5 days before check-in.
  • Full refund of all amounts paid if cancelled within this window.
  • Cancellations made less than 5 days before check-in are charged at 50% of the total booking amount.
  • No-shows are charged in full.

Strict

Maximum commitment, often lower rates

  • 50% refund if cancelled at least 14 days before check-in.
  • No refund for cancellations made less than 14 days before check-in.
  • The first night's stay may be charged regardless of cancellation timing.
  • No-shows are charged in full.

Special Circumstances

We understand that unforeseen events can happen. In cases of force majeure or genuine emergencies, we may consider exceptions to the standard cancellation policy. These include:

  • Serious illness or hospitalisation (medical certificate may be required).
  • Death of the guest or an immediate family member.
  • Natural disasters, severe weather events, or government-imposed travel restrictions affecting the destination.
  • Military deployment or jury duty summons.

In such cases, please contact us as soon as possible with supporting documentation. We will review each request on a case-by-case basis and work with the host to find a fair resolution, which may include a partial refund, credit towards a future booking, or a full refund depending on the circumstances.

Refund Processing Timeline

Approved refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days from the date of cancellation. The actual time it takes for the refund to appear in your account depends on your payment method and financial institution:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: 5–10 business days.
  • PayPal: 3–5 business days.
  • Bank Transfers: 5–10 business days.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the booking.
